The Gilded Girl Awarded “Boutique of the Year” at Style Week Pittsburgh’s 2016 Style Awards
The Gilded Girl Beauty Emporium received the coveted “Boutique of the Year” award at Style Week Pittsburgh’s 2016 Style Awards. Owner, Liz Quesnelle, accepted the award in person, giving these remarks:
“First off, I want to thank the organizers of Style Week Pittsburgh for your continued work showcasing Pittsburgh designers, artists and musicians. There is so much talent in this city. It’s time the world took notice of those creating amazing art. I moved here from a major metropolitan area and everyone said to me “Pittsburgh? What’s going on in Pittsburgh?” Well, actually, A LOT is going on in Pittsburgh. And I am grateful to be a part of it.”
The Gilded Girl Beauty Emporium opened on September 22nd, 2015 in the Lawrenceville neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA. Devoted to the idea that exceptional cosmetics, skin care and fragrance brands come in all sizes and from all over the globe, Ms. Quesnelle has built a reputation for offering the best luxury and indie products available on the market, including many hard to find international brands.
Brands in stock include: Rodial, Indie Lee, Smith & Cult, Andrea Garland, Rituel de Fille, Winky Lux, Mai Couture, CB I Hate Perfume, DS & Durga, Penhaligon’s, Bloom & Blossom, Meow Meow Tweet, Skin & Tonic London and more.
In addition, the store runs a very popular class series with titles such as “Mad Men MakeUp,” “InstaGlam!” and “Drag Queen Drama” as well as classes on current trends and classic looks. These classes teach technique in a relaxed, fun setting which includes snacks and wine.
